Read · Isaiah 43:1–2
There are seasons when the next step is unclear and familiar strength feels insufficient. We may be carrying grief, recovery, conflict, disappointment, or responsibility that seems heavier than our capacity. In those moments, fear often tells us that difficulty means we have been abandoned.
God’s word through Isaiah speaks differently: ‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.’ The promise is not that the water will never rise. The promise is that it will never erase the presence or the claim of the God who calls us by name.
In Christ, we are not defined by the hardest chapter we have lived. We are known, redeemed, and held. That truth does not remove the need for wise help, honest lament, or patient work. It gives us a place to stand while we take the next faithful step.
What would change today if you faced this season as someone accompanied by God?
PrayerFather, meet me in the places that feel deeper than my strength. Fix my eyes on Christ, remind me that I am known, and give me grace for the next faithful step. Amen.
